Lunch at The Mawson Arms

The Mawson Arms and Fox and Hounds is the starting point for the brewery tour. The pub sits on Mawson Lane, named after the family who laid the foundations for a major brewing enterprise. The corner house was reputedly the home of Alexander Pope, a protégé of Lord Burlington, and his family from 1716 to 1719. At one point, two pubs stood on the site, hence the reason the pub still has two names today.
